Charity Work

We have been volunteers for 3 years supporting Surplus to Supper

“Bridging the gap between food waste and food poverty”

Founded in 2017 in Sunbury-on-Thames, we have been active in sourcing and redistributing surplus food that would otherwise have gone to waste. This is on a substantial scale with the charity currently collecting and donating on average 10 tons of food per week and redistributing to foodbanks, schools, care homes, shelters, clubs, refuges, religious organisations and more.

Surplus to Supper has been recognised by Fareshare as one of a few Community Food Redistribution Organisations. Unlike other food distribution centres, we do not charge anything for redistribution, we take the food directly to where it is needed.

Surplus to Supper support needs in many boroughs across North Surrey and London; from Spelthorne to Richmond and Kingston to Chelsea and the reach is set to grow.

We’ve been helping MS Research raise money to fund a range of research projects to address or alleviate the problems people living with MS face every day by completing in marathons, triathlons and ironman’s.

The charity also provide access to training and educational programmes for both professionals and those living with MS.

Alzheimer’s disease is a physical illness which damages a person’s brain. This eventually causes dementia. Alzheimer’s disease is the most common cause of dementia.

This is the last charity we support raising £450.00 so far!

We are continuing our support for all our charities by next year June 2024 competing in Ironman 70.3 Nice in France.
